The Malaghan Institute of Medical Research is New Zealand’s leading independent health research organisation, with over 100 staff dedicated to finding cures for diseases using the body’s own immune system.
The mission of our Development Team is to raise awareness of and provide financial support for the goals and objectives of the Institute. Our Development Team looks after a wide range of amazing supporters who are key to being able to carry on with our boundary pushing research programmes.
We are looking for an experienced and capable Supporter Experience Administrator to ensure we continue to raise money and provide outstanding supporter care to everyone who supports us. This is a permanent full-time role, in which you will be working closely with our Development Administration Manager to provide seamless customer care, donations administration, database maintenance and general support to the team.
To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional customer service and administration skills: be proactive, organised and able to prioritise. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates speed and efficiency in their work, without sacrificing accuracy and quality. Preferably you will have proven success in data handling and segmentation, a core part of the position. Experience in a fundraising database system is essential (IMIS or Raisers Edge preferable) and Microsoft Office suite.
Our ideal candidate will be personable, and able to easily fit into our Malaghan whānau. Working with our generous supporters, you will have no problems building and maintaining effective relationships and will have great verbal and written communication skills.
If you are an experienced and driven fundraising administrator looking for your next role, please send through your Cover Letter and CV. Applications close 5pm Sunday 7th February for an anticipated late-February start. Interviews will be held throughout should the right candidates apply. Don’t wait, apply today!
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
